Evangelist Laura Marie Johnson - Biographical Sketch
Evangelist Laura Marie Johnson is a native of Philadelphia, where she was raised and attended school. In 1979, her thirst for change moved her and her family to Washington DC. The Lord called Evangelist Johnson to preach in the spring of 2003. From that point on she has been on fire for Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Evangelist Johnson was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the Association of Faith Churches and Ministers (AFCM) on March 2, 2007, by AFCM President Jim Kaseman. After receiving her call into the ministry, God also put a ministry of helps on Evangelist Johnson’s heart---thus, E.V.E. Ministry (End Violent Encounters) was developed. E.V.E. Ministry is a faith-based ministry and currently a project of the UCP (United Charitable Programs) a 501(©)(3),509(A)(1) Public Charity. As a nonprofit organization, E.V.E. Ministry was developed for the purpose of promoting community awareness on the issues of domestic violence and spousal abuse, along with motivating inspiring individuals to seek a more intimate Relationship with God and each other. Evangelist Johnson also serves on the board of John 10:10 Ministries with her father, Associate Pastor Morris Dock Bussie Sr., Founder and President of John 10:10. Reverend Johnson as a former member of Greater Mt Calvary Holy Church (GMCHC) in Washington, DC, under the Leadership of Arch Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr., and Co-Pastor, Evangelist Susie C. Owens. Evangelist Johnson served as a member of the GMCHC Intercessory Prayer Ministry as well as volunteering, with Calvary’s Food Bank. She is a graduate of Calvary Bible Institute with a Certificate in Biblical Studies. Evangelist Johnson completed her studies in 2011 with her Certificate in Ministry. Evangelist Johnson is a part time On-Call Minster at Howard University Hospital Pastoral Care Services. Evangelist Johnson is now a member of Agape Covenant Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Leslie Taylor, and the Director of Womens Ministry; walking in the promotion of God. Evangelist Laura Johnson was ordained by Dr. Julius J. Kaseman, President of AFCM on the twenty-fifth day of January, 2010.Evangelist Johnson has two children and six grandchildren, and her favorite scripture is Psalm 91; her promise to God is to serve Him until His return.
